Through an outstanding action, after 5 minutes, Zeca Gad successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. After recieving a nice pass, Saecinza's Teodoro Eger tried to score from far away in the 7th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Gilberto Mineiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Zeca Gad tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gilberto Mineiro's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Zeca Gad read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 12th minute of play. In the 18th minute, David Vale hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Zoiudo's Zeca Gad played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gilberto Mineiro in the 23rd minute of play. In the 23rd match minute, Zoiudo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gil Lopes to maneuver through the defense. When Gilberto Mineiro came up free with the goalie in the 24th minute, the Saecinza fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gilberto Mineiro couldn't finish the play. Zeca Gad took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gilberto Mineiro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Zeca Gad showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jeferson Peixoto, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. In the 36th minute the ball was on its way in behind Zoiudo's goalkeeper Zeca Gad, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Saecinza's Gilberto Mineiro got a good chance for a goal in the 39th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 44th minute of the match, Gilberto Mineiro tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Zeca Gad saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. 45 minutes into the match, Zoiudo's goalkeeper Zeca Gad had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Paulo José Damião. Gilberto Mineiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zeca Gad having to interfere. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Gil Lopes made a kick off. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gilberto Mineiro in the 52nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Zeca Gad prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 53 minutes into the match, Zoiudo's goal looked a bit too open when Paulo José Damião came free, but Zeca Gad reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 57 minutes had been played when some careless play by Zoiudo's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Teodoro Eger was slow to take the kick. During this time Saecinza's players had a chance to rest. In the 62nd match minute, Zoiudo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gil Lopes to maneuver through the defense. Saecinza's Gilberto Mineiro got a good chance for a goal in the 63rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gilberto Mineiro in the 66th minute of play forced Zoiudo's goalkeeper Zeca Gad to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. For all the effort they put into the match, the Zoiudo players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Saecinza.
