An unexpectedly hard shot by Manuel Vaz in the 12th minute of play forced Saecinza's goalkeeper Delfim de Godoi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 44 minutes, Jeferson Peixoto mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Saecinza and the MOCAMBINHENSE SA players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 91st minute, Wellington Cearense got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 93rd minute, Manuel Vaz managed to get in a good position for a shot. MOCAMBINHENSE SA's supporters rose to their feet, but Manuel Vaz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Delfim de Godoi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
