In the 29th minute of the match Laerte Sergipano sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ronaldão Tinoco skillfully saved the ball. Ronaldão Tinoco took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ediberto Valle, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Laerte Linhares received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Wiliam Amorim came out and tried to block the shot, but Laerte Linhares slotted it home off the left post making it 2-0 in the 43rd minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Perivaldo Custódio in the 48th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ronaldão Tinoco prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Laerte Linhares to make the kick off. In the 52nd minute of the match Benê Tande shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ronaldão Tinoco showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Gabriel Moura recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 60th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Perivaldo Custódio who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 64thth minute tested the skills of Ronaldão Tinoco when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After a defensive mix-up in Ibiracu's zone, Perivaldo Custódio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ronaldão Tinoco came out of the goal and Perivaldo Custódio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ronaldão Tinoco showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Perivaldo Custódio in the 68th minute of the match. Luiz Eduardo Gaúcho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ronaldão Tinoco having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Ibiracu's zone, Perivaldo Custódio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ronaldão Tinoco came out of the goal and Perivaldo Custódio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 78 played minutes Ibiracu got a freekick which was hit by Arnaldo Lago. Wiliam Amorim took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Naldo Abraão, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Spartacus F.C. booed when Ibiracu was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Artur Bezerra didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 94th minute, Ediberto Valle hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ibiracu were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest.
