Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Elano Barral took the kick off in the first half of the match. After 9 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Tapara EC! Tapara EC:s Mané Lucas showed great skill when he stopped Belmiro Pena:s penalty. 15 minutes into the game, Elano Barral was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Tapara EC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Nazareno EC the free kick. Elano Barral hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. If Elano Barral had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 19th minute, Felipe Azevedo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After having played for 23 minutes, Belmiro Pena managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Nazareno EC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Belmiro Pena was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Breno Ceresso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gilberto Cearense, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. Breno Ceresso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gilberto Cearense, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The wind increased when Felipe Azevedo made the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Tapara EC's zone, Edmundo Duarte stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mané Lucas came out of the goal and Edmundo Duarte tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Edmundo Duarte had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nazareno EC's Belmiro Pena got a good chance for a goal in the 64th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Mané Lucas came out of the goal in the 71st minute to try and stop a shot by Nazareno EC's Belmiro Pena. But to his dismay, Belmiro Pena quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Elano Barral recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 81st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Edmundo Duarte sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 94th match minute, Nazareno EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bebeto Valladares to maneuver through the defense. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Nazareno EC players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
