Mané Lucas breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Elano Barral sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Elano Barral blasted a shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Wiliam Amorim having to make a save. 18 minutes into the match, Gilberto Cearense had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Wiliam Amorim. Spartacus F.C.'s manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gilberto Cearense was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. Tapara EC's Mané Lucas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luiz Eduardo Gaúcho in the 24th minute of play. Wiliam Amorim stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gilberto Cearense's shot from short distance in the 27th minute. Elano Barral received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Wiliam Amorim tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Elano Barral fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wiliam Amorim having to interfere. Gilberto Cearense sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Luiz Eduardo Gaúcho stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Alfredão Diniz kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. 63 minutes into the match, Spartacus F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Elano Barral came free, but Wiliam Amorim reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tapara EC's Alan Cabral got a good chance for a goal in the 80th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Luiz Eduardo Gaúcho's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Mané Lucas read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 88th minute of play. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Tapara EC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Spartacus F.C. had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
