Seating: 1738, VIP seats: 151) Prazeres EC's Luiz Macedo started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 3 played minutes Nazaro got a freekick which was hit by Armando Braga. In the 5th minute, Gilson de Mendonça ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Váldson de Castro was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Paulo José Fontes hit a great freekick 8 minutes into the match. Marcelo Peixoto's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Robinho Rodrigues read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 13th minute of play. Váldson de Castro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gilson de Mendonça, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 16 minutes, Gilson de Mendonça made it 2-0 with a short kick to the right side. Prazeres EC's Váldson de Castro tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Gilson de Mendonça received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Váldson de Castro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 26th minute Gilson de Mendonça shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Váldson de Castro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Váldson de Castro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aílton Paranaense in the 34th minute of the match. 34 minutes into the game, Gonçalo Salgado was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Prazeres EC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Nazaro the free kick. Gonçalo Salgado hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. Váldson de Castro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gilson de Mendonça, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. Prazeres EC's Váldson de Castro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aílton Paranaense in the 59th minute of play. Marcelo Peixoto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Robinho Rodrigues having to interfere. Robinho Rodrigues showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luiz Macedo in the 63rd minute of the match. After 65 played minutes Prazeres EC got a freekick which was hit by Juarês Vargas. Delfim Vander sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gilson de Mendonça in the 70th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Váldson de Castro saved Prazeres EC from getting behind. Nazaro's Robinho Rodrigues proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 71st minute of the match, managed to save Nazaro from getting a goal against them. The audience thought a goal was coming when Marcelo Peixoto got free with Robinho Rodrigues in the 76th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Gilson de Mendonça might have been able to make a better finish in the 77th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Váldson de Castro. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Gilson de Mendonça ran back to his position shaking his head. Luiz Macedo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Robinho Rodrigues having to interfere. 82 minutes into the match, Nazaro's goal looked a bit too open when Francisco Queirós came free, but Robinho Rodrigues reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Robinho Rodrigues showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Francisco Queirós in the 85th minute of the match. Luiz Macedo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 96th minute, Prazeres EC's Francisco Queirós dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-1. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Nazaro had won after a very even match.
