An unexpectedly hard shot by Narciso Costa in the 28th minute of play forced Fronteiro EC's goalkeeper Simão Valadares to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Simão Valadares made an important save on a dangerous shot by Reynaldo Braga in the 29th minute. In the 30th match minute, Fronteiro EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Amílton Vergílio to maneuver through the defense. In the 31st minute Narciso Costa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Simão Valadares saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee ignored Fronteiro EC's protests and gave Luís Paulo Montenegro a yellow card for diving instead. In the 37th match minute, Fronteiro EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luís Paulo Montenegro to maneuver through the defense. The crowd rose to their feet as Narciso Costa kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Simão Valadares. That made the score 4-1 in the 38 minute of play. Simão Valadares showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Narciso Costa, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. In the 46th match minute, Fronteiro EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pedrinho Munhoz to maneuver through the defense. Simão Valadares acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 47th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Ediberto Trigo. Af the end of the first half the score was 4-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Narciso Costa to make the kick off. 51 minutes into the match, Fronteiro EC's goal looked a bit too open when Reynaldo Braga came free, but Simão Valadares reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Simão Valadares showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Reynaldo Braga, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. After 59 played minutes Vidigai SC got a freekick which was hit by Narciso Costa. In the 60th minute, Reynaldo Braga left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Vidigai SC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-1. Josué Custódio struck a weak shot in the 63rd minute. Afonsinho Félix didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Fronteiro EC. Jeferson de Godois short, quick shot in the 69thth minute got Afonsinho Félix to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Silvinho Custódio struck a weak shot in the 73rd minute. Simão Valadares didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Vidigai SC. Fronteiro EC's Emerson de Toledo got a good chance for a goal in the 76th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Amílton Vergílio was extremely unlucky when he, in the 78th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. A collision led to Vidigai SC getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Gernando Trigo hit a great ball. Fronteiro EC's Simão Valadares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Reynaldo Braga in the 82nd minute of play. Reynaldo Braga took the ball and in the 84 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Simão Valadares. Simão Valadares dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 7-1. 87 minutes into the game, Gernando Trigo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Vidigai SC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Fronteiro EC the free kick. Jeferson de Godoi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Afonsinho Félix tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Amílton Vergílio recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 91st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Fronteiro EC's Simão Valadares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Walmyr de Lara in the 94th minute of play. There was no doubt that Vidigai SC were the better team. Vidigai SC's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
