Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Narciso Costa started the match with the kick off. When Reynaldo Braga came up free with the goalie in the 4th minute, the Vidigai SC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Reynaldo Braga couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, Vidigai SC's Narciso Costa got a free kick in the 6th minute. After having played for 8 minutes, Narciso Costa managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Vidigai SC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Narciso Costa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Vicente Dracena kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. If Reynaldo Braga had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After a rather tough play, Vidigai SC's Gabriel Sabóia got a free kick in the 23rd minute. Fabiano Vinhas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 24th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, Vidigai SC's Silvinho Custódio got a free kick in the 30th minute. The long shot by Claudinei do Nascimento in the 30th minute really tested Afonsinho Félix's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Vidigai SC's Afonsinho Félix proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 32nd minute of the match, managed to save Vidigai SC from getting a goal against them. After a rather tough play, Vidigai SC's Silvinho Custódio got a free kick in the 34th minute. In the 34th minute, Claudinei do Nascimento sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Vidigai SC's Afonsinho Félix didn't even have to move. Afonsinho Félix was a little too slow when Jailson Couto got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 36th minute. The score was now 2-0. When Vidigai SC's Reynaldo Braga in the 40th minute got a chance for a shot 40th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Itaberaba FC's goalie prevented a goal. After some careless play in the Itaberaba FC defense, Narciso Costa kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Rubens Cruz. The Itaberaba FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Rubens Cruz should have stopped the shot. Fabiano Vinhas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jailson Couto was the one to do the kick off. After a rather tough play, Vidigai SC's Narciso Costa got a free kick in the 52nd minute. If Jailson Couto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Afonsinho Félix took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fabiano Vinhas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Itaberaba FC's zone, Narciso Costa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rubens Cruz came out of the goal and Narciso Costa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Gernando Trigo hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. Narciso Costa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 68th minute, Narciso Costa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 69th play minutes Jailson Couto shot 3-1, a short shot which went by Afonsinho Félix and just under the crossbar into goal. Jailson Couto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Afonsinho Félix having to interfere. Narciso Costa blasted a shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Rubens Cruz having to make a save. Reynaldo Braga sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Vidigai SC booed when Itaberaba FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vicente Dracena didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ricardinho de Alcântara was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 85th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. In the 87th minute, Narciso Costa got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Narciso Costa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rubens Cruz made an important save on a dangerous shot by Reynaldo Braga in the 95th minute. Vidigai SC's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because Itaberaba FC had won, even though Vidigai SC had held more of the ball.
