When Luiz Macedo came up free with the goalie in the 12th minute, the Prazeres EC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Luiz Macedo couldn't finish the play. In the 14th minute Luiz Macedo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rubens Cruz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Luiz Macedo took the ball and in the 37 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Rubens Cruz. Rubens Cruz dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. The Itaberaba FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Prazeres EC were winning 0-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jailson Couto was the one to do the kick off. In the 51st minute Fabiano Vinhas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Váldson de Castro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Luís Fábio Nunes charged in rather forcefully in the 54th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Luís Fábio Nunes hit a great ball. Francisco Queirós took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 85th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Rubens Cruz. Itaberaba FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line.
