C.'s Ahmet Yahya Sökmener was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Antônio Paiva in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. After some fancy dribbling in the 15th minute, Ahmet Yahya Sökmener managed to get in a good position for a shot. Abduzidos F. C.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Ahmet Yahya Sökmener was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Antônio Paiva breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 21 minutes into the game, Valdemar de Godoi recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Antônio Paiva. Valdemar de Godoi showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. Liu Lin Bang's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Antônio Paiva read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 28th minute of play. Henrique Breckenfeld recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 52nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Sebastião Vander sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Antônio Paiva came out of the goal in the 58th minute to try and stop a shot by Abduzidos F. C.'s Ahmet Yahya Sökmener. But to his dismay, Ahmet Yahya Sökmener quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. Percival Neiva made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kauan Porto in the 63rd minute of play. When Henrique Breckenfeld fell near the penalty area in the 70th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Esporte Clube Vitória's protests and gave Henrique Breckenfeld a yellow card for diving instead.
