In the 17th minute, Sputnik FC's Deivid Tavares seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Deivid Tavares the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Sputnik FC protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Deivid Tavares had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. 16 minutes into the game, one of Sputnik FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Wanderson Paranaense shot the penalty kick right outside the post. In the 21st minute, Emanuel Tróia got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Guilherme Vieira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Matías Peixoto in the 23rd minute of the match. Sputnik FC's Emanuel Tróia got a good chance for a goal in the 25th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The audience was convinced that Matías Peixoto's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Guilherme Vieira was relentless in the 28th minute of the game. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Emanuel Tróia in the 47th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Vágner Marques prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

In the 52nd minute Matías Peixoto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Guilherme Vieira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Olivedos F.C booed when Sputnik FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Francisco da Costa didn't get a good kick on the ball. Sputnik FC's Guilherme Vieira proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 64th minute of the match, managed to save Sputnik FC from getting a goal against them. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Matías Peixoto couldn't finish the play.
