Alexandre Cordeiro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Henrique Andrade in the 4th minute of play. Orico's Alexandre Cordeiro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Henrique Andrade in the 6th minute of play. With a little luck, Umbrella Futebol Clube's Walmir Borges got control of the ball when Sandrinho Capixaba tried to sneak it across the goal line. 8 minutes into the match, Orico's goal looked a bit too open when Wágner Cordeiro came free, but Alexandre Cordeiro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Orico's zone, Henrique Andrade stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alexandre Cordeiro came out of the goal and Henrique Andrade tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 21 minutes into the game, Umbrella Futebol Clube's Henrique Andrade nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Alexandre Cordeiro made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Henrique Andrade in the 31st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Alexandre Cordeiro saved Orico from getting behind. 38 minutes into the match, Henrique Andrade had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Alexandre Cordeiro. Orico's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Henrique Andrade was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Wágner Cordeiro made a kick off. If Wágner Cordeiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After a defensive mix-up in Orico's zone, Henrique Andrade stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alexandre Cordeiro came out of the goal and Henrique Andrade tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Orico's Alexandre Cordeiro proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 59th minute of the match, managed to save Orico from getting a goal against them. Umbrella Futebol Clube's attentive Victor Donatello managed to snatch the ball when Jano Vides made a throw-in in the 61st minute of the game. 64 minutes in the game, Henrique Andrade fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Alexandre Cordeiro having to interfere. Henrique Andrade who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 66thth minute tested the skills of Alexandre Cordeiro when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Henrique Andrade could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 69th minute of the match, but Alexandre Cordeiro made a huge save. 71 minutes into the match, Henrique Andrade dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Alexandre Cordeiro, 0-3. Alexandre Cordeiro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Henrique Andrade, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Henrique Andrade got free with Alexandre Cordeiro in the 77th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Alexandre Cordeiro stood somewhat misplaced when Henrique Andrade came free in front of goal and shot 0-4 to the left of him in the 83 minute. It seemed to be an obvious goal in the 88th minute, but Alexandre Cordeiro got his fingers on the ball or the save, leaving Orico hanging dry this time. After 90 minutes Orico's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Claudinei Falcão who took care of the corner kick. A nice corner shot did that Claudinei Falcão got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Alexandre Cordeiro quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Walmir Borges didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Sandrinho Capixaba went, in the 94th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-4 was the resulting score.
