Germano Salgado showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nicolas Travassos in the 8th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 10th minute, Erik Gaspar managed to get in a good position for a shot. Manaus FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Erik Gaspar was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Germano Salgado breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Romeu Pernambucano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alexandre Toledo having to interfere. After having played for 23 minutes, Erik Gaspar managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Manaus FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Erik Gaspar was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nicolas Travassos in the 24th minute of play forced ZÜÒ.ÓÜZ FOOTBALL CLUB's goalkeeper Germano Salgado to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 28th minute, ZÜÒ.ÓÜZ FOOTBALL CLUB's Romeu Pernambucano ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Alexandre Toledo. The crowd rose to their feet as ZÜÒ.ÓÜZ FOOTBALL CLUB's Durval Antunes slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Alexandre Toledo. That made the score 2-0 after 39 minutes of play. Nicolas Travassos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Germano Salgado having to interfere. When Erik Gaspar came up free with the goalie in the 44th minute, the Manaus FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Erik Gaspar couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, Manaus FC's Henrique Ramos got a free kick in the 45th minute. In the 47th minute, Edmundo Linares hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Durval Antunes was the one to do the kick off. Alexandre Toledo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. If Romeu Pernambucano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute.
