An unexpectedly hard shot by Luís Cardozo in the 8th minute of play forced AllBlack's goalkeeper Iordache Ciupe to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Iordache Ciupe showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Carmelo Patxi in the 9th minute of the match. PARTENON - RS's Felippe de Barros proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 13th minute of the match, managed to save PARTENON - RS from getting a goal against them. The audience thought a goal was coming when Fernando Sotomayor got free with Felippe de Barros in the 13th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a rather tough play, PARTENON - RS's Tommie Reitsma got a free kick in the 13th minute. AllBlack's Iordache Ciupe played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Carmelo Patxi in the 15th minute of play. Iordache Ciupe took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luís Cardozo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 20 minutes into the game, Dedê Mota recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Felippe de Barros. Dedê Mota showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. In the 24th minute, one of PARTENON - RS:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for PARTENON - RS. When the match had been going on for 25 minutes, AllBlack's Benjamin Guerra got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Felippe de Barros. When AllBlack's Dedê Mota in the 29th minute got a chance for a shot 29th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye PARTENON - RS's goalie prevented a goal. If Augusto Lorencio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 33 played minutes AllBlack got a freekick which was hit by Raí Santana. Iordache Ciupe made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Carmelo Patxi in the 34th minute of play. Fernando Sotomayor could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 36th minute of the match, but Felippe de Barros made a huge save. When Augusto Lorencio fell near the penalty area in the 39th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored AllBlack's protests and gave Augusto Lorencio a yellow card for diving instead. In the 39th match minute, AllBlack was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Augusto Lorencio to maneuver through the defense. Iordache Ciupe showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luís Cardozo in the 44th minute of the match. Felippe de Barros was out of position in the 47 minute of play, and Augusto Lorencio capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Augusto Lorencio really showed his touch with that goal: 3-0. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Carmelo Patxi made a kick off. Dedê Mota might have been able to make a better finish in the 55th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Felippe de Barros. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Dedê Mota ran back to his position shaking his head. Felippe de Barros showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Augusto Lorencio, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Luís Cardozo kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Iordache Ciupe. That made the score 3-1 in the 58 minute of play. 63 minutes into the match, AllBlack's goalkeeper Iordache Ciupe had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Toninho Alcântara. Tommie Reitsma was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 64 minutes into the match. In the 65th match minute, PARTENON - RS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tommie Reitsma to maneuver through the defense. If Benjamin Guerra had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Augusto Lorencio in the 68th minute of play forced PARTENON - RS's goalkeeper Felippe de Barros to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 70 minutes into the match, AllBlack's goal looked a bit too open when Luís Cardozo came free, but Iordache Ciupe reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in AllBlack reached it. PARTENON - RS's Felippe de Barros played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Augusto Lorencio in the 83rd minute of play. PARTENON - RS's Luís Cardozo managed to work through AllBlack's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Luís Cardozo dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. Toninho Alcântara recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 90th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of PARTENON - RS booed when AllBlack was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Benjamin Guerra didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 98th minute, Augusto Lorencio made a precise shot to the right of Felippe de Barros. PARTENON - RS's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-1. PARTENON - RS's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because AllBlack had won, even though PARTENON - RS had held more of the ball.
