The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Cléberson Ribeiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 3rd minute. Kauan Damião sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Agostinho Meirelles received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Luiz Fernando de Lima tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 13thth minute of the game Laerte Favoretto who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Couve Flor FC's Luiz Fernando de Lima was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Agostinho Meirelles recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 15th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Couve Flor FC booed when Musquiada was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ronaldinho Paiva didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 19th minute Agostinho Meirelles shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luiz Fernando de Lima saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Luiz Fernando de Lima came out of the goal in the 21st minute to try and stop a shot by Musquiada's Agostinho Meirelles. But to his dismay, Agostinho Meirelles quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Agostinho Meirelles fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luiz Fernando de Lima having to interfere. If Cléberson Ribeiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ronaldinho Aguiar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cléberson Ribeiro in the 33rd minute of the match. In the 37th minute Laerte Favoretto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luiz Fernando de Lima saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Agostinho Meirelles recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 38th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Luiz Fernando de Lima tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Kauan Damião stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 58 minutes into the match, Musquiada's Laerte Favoretto sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Luiz Fernando de Lima narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Agostinho Meirelles sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 79 minutes, Agostinho Meirelles managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Musquiada's supporters crossed their fingers, but Agostinho Meirelles was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Laerte Favoretto in the 81st minute of play forced Couve Flor FC's goalkeeper Luiz Fernando de Lima to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With an all-out effort, Musquiada's Luiz Fernando de Lima threw himself towards the right post 85 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Laerte Favoretto, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Laerte Favoretto struck a weak shot in the 92nd minute. Luiz Fernando de Lima didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Musquiada. Agostinho Meirelles recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 95th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.
