With a couple of smart ball manuevers Luís Paiva in the 12th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Sérgio Paulista saved Maratoneiro from getting behind. When Lino Capixaba came up free with the goalie in the 13th minute, the E.C. Paulistão fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lino Capixaba couldn't finish the play. Thanks to some nice moves Dráusio Loureiro could shoot a difficult shot in the 17th minute, which Sérgio Paulista however easily saved by the left post. Sérgio Paulista was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Luís Paiva showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-0 in the 18 minute of play. Arnaldo Catarinense made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sílvio Luís Félix in the 21st minute of play. Arnaldo Catarinense took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sílvio Luís Félix, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 27 minutes into the game, José Neiva was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. E.C. Paulistão's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Maratoneiro the free kick. José Neiva kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. Paulistão's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Cauan Gonçalves helped the player get up and apologised. Maratoneiro's Sérgio Paulista played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luís Paiva in the 35th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luís Paiva in the 46th minute of play forced Maratoneiro's goalkeeper Sérgio Paulista to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. E.C. Paulistão's Arnaldo Catarinense played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cauan Gonçalves in the 47th minute of play.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Luís Paiva stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 60thth minute of the game Luís Paiva who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Maratoneiro's Sérgio Paulista was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Luís Paiva received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Sérgio Paulista tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Arnaldo Catarinense made an important save on a dangerous shot by Sílvio Luís Félix in the 64th minute. 65 minutes into the match, E.C. Paulistão's goal looked a bit too open when Tales Santos came free, but Arnaldo Catarinense reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tales Leão could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 94th minute of the match, but Arnaldo Catarinense made a huge save. When the referee ended the match the E.C. Paulistão players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
