In the 4th minute, Chico Massa reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Donato Recife. The goal made the score 1-0. Enio Zonta received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Willian Donatello tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Elano Marinho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Donato Recife was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. FM Caetanopolis - RS's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gilmar Damião was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 39 minutes, Franklin Berger mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Gozado and the FM Caetanopolis - RS players grew even worse after the yellow card. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Chico Massa couldn't finish the play.
