If Robinho Britto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Elano Marinho in the 14th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Elias Cosme prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After some careless play in the Singularity defense, Gilmar Damião kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Elias Cosme. The Singularity fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Elias Cosme should have stopped the shot. After a defensive mix-up in FM Caetanopolis - RS's zone, Robinho Britto stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Willian Donatello came out of the goal and Robinho Britto tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience was convinced that Elano Marinho's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Elias Cosme was relentless in the 26th minute of the game. After having played for 28 minutes, Gilmar Damião managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FM Caetanopolis - RS's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gilmar Damião was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The audience was convinced that Elano Marinho's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Elias Cosme was relentless in the 33rd minute of the game. 34 minutes into the match, Singularity's goal looked a bit too open when Chico Massa came free, but Elias Cosme reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Elias Cosme stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Elano Marinho's shot from short distance in the 36th minute. Elano Marinho's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Elias Cosme read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 39th minute of play. After having played for 41 minutes, Gilmar Damião managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FM Caetanopolis - RS's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gilmar Damião was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Elano Marinho in the 44th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Elias Cosme saved Singularity from getting behind. In the 45th minute Elano Marinho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Elias Cosme saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Elano Marinho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Elias Cosme tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.

Elias Cosme showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gilmar Damião, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. FM Caetanopolis - RS's Gilmar Damião got a good chance for a goal in the 58th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 64th minute, Elano Marinho got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Elano Marinho had several of the Singularity's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 66 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 0-4 score and a disappointed Elias Cosme as he didn't even see the shot coming. Mazinho Arósio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Willian Donatello having to interfere. Gilmar Damião blasted a shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Elias Cosme having to make a save. If Chico Massa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Elias Cosme stood somewhat misplaced when Elano Marinho came free in front of goal and shot 0-6 to the left of him in the 84 minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Elano Marinho in the 87th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Elias Cosme saved Singularity from getting behind. Chico Massa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Elias Cosme having to interfere.
