Marcelo Messias didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Curucamba's Guto Brandao shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 0-1 in the ordered_time% minute. When Curucamba's Guto Brandao in the 25th minute got a chance for a shot 25th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A collision led to Curucamba getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Guto Brandao hit a great ball. After some careless play in the Curucamba defense, Washington Assis kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Márcio Mazza. The Curucamba fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Márcio Mazza should have stopped the shot. Vivaldo Pitta received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Márcio Mazza tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Washington Assis recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 45th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Washington Assis made a kick off. Marcelo Messias was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 53rd minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Deivid Freitas. A collision led to Clube Atlético Serrano getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Armando Polmone hit a great ball. When Curucamba's Guto Brandao in the 61st minute got a chance for a shot 61st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Clube Atlético Serrano's goalie prevented a goal. After having played for 65 minutes, Ediberto Brito managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Clube Atlético Serrano's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ediberto Brito was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 66th match minute, Curucamba was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ernesto Sabóia to maneuver through the defense. In the 67th minute, Kléberson França hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Marcelo Messias stood somewhat misplaced when Ricardo Leite came free in front of goal and shot 1-3 to the left of him in the 75 minute. Marcelo Messias didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Guto Brandao went, in the 79th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-4 was the resulting score. Márcio Mazza came out of the goal in the 84th minute to try and stop a shot by Clube Atlético Serrano's Washington Assis. But to his dismay, Washington Assis quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-4. Vivaldo Pitta fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Márcio Mazza having to interfere. From close distance Guto Brandao pressed in the 2-5 goal high up into nets stiches in the right cross 90 minutes into the game. In the 93rd minute, Guto Brandao hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
