Juninho Prata made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Allan Reis's late challenge caught a Bahus's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Allan Reis helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Bahus booed when Vasco Ji-Paraná FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Allan Reis didn't get a good kick on the ball. Vasco Ji-Paraná FC's Juninho Prata played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Geovânio Correia in the 34th minute of play. With a little luck, Bahus's Ademar Koehler got control of the ball when Narciso Barbosa tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Vasco Ji-Paraná FC's zone, Jano da Mata stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Juninho Prata came out of the goal and Jano da Mata tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Celsinho de Moraes kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Allan Reis stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute, Allan Reis got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 54th minute, Allan Reis managed to get in a good position for a shot. Vasco Ji-Paraná FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Allan Reis was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ademar Koehler breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. But to his dismay, Adilson Pitta quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-3. After having played for 77 minutes, Allan Reis managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Vasco Ji-Paraná FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Allan Reis was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A collision led to Bahus getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Leonel Silveira hit a great ball. Bahus's Ademar Koehler played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Celsinho de Moraes in the 83rd minute of play.
