The referee showed Marcelo Pitta the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Maurício Mandrak made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Erik Pombal in the 23rd minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Tigres F.C's zone, Cafu Brito stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Percy Recife came out of the goal and Cafu Brito tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Carlinhos Urbano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Percy Recife having to interfere. Meninos do Morro F.C's Maurício Mandrak proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 42nd minute of the match, managed to save Meninos do Morro F.C from getting a goal against them. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Erik Pombal made a kick off. After a rather tough play, Tigres F.C's Rogério Vinhas got a free kick in the 52nd minute. Maurício Mandrak came out of the goal in the 56th minute to try and stop a shot by Tigres F.C's Diogo Reis. But to his dismay, Diogo Reis quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. Marcelo Pitta recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 60th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 67 minutes into the match, Meninos do Morro F.C's goal looked a bit too open when Diogo Reis came free, but Maurício Mandrak reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Erik Pombal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Carlinhos Urbano's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 71stth minute, Percy Recife skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. After a rather tough play, Tigres F.C's Délio de Alcântara got a free kick in the 72nd minute. Carlinhos Urbano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cafu Brito received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Percy Recife tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tigres F.C's Rogério Vinhas got his second yellow card of the match in the 75th minute. The referee ordered Rogério Vinhas off the ground. In the 78thth minute of the game Marcelo Pitta who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Meninos do Morro F.C's Maurício Mandrak was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Marcelo Pitta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Diogo Reis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Carlinhos Urbano could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 87th minute of the match, but Percy Recife made a huge save. After a defensive mix-up in Tigres F.C's zone, Carlinhos Urbano stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Percy Recife came out of the goal and Carlinhos Urbano tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 92nd minute, Wanderson Prestes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 94th minute, Diogo Reis got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Tigres F.C had won after a very even match.
