Natã Cavalcante was left in no man's land by his defense there! An unexpectedly hard shot by Arthur Pena in the 25th minute of play forced Meninos do Morro F.C's goalkeeper Maurício Mandrak to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Maurício Mandrak came out of the goal in the 30th minute to try and stop a shot by Defensores de Savóia's Walmyr Ferreira. But to his dismay, Walmyr Ferreira quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-3. The supporters of Defensores de Savóia booed when Meninos do Morro F.C was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Carlinhos Urbano didn't get a good kick on the ball. 41 minutes into the game, José Carlos Fernandez was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Carlinhos Urbano to make the kick off. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gilvan Ortiz during the 89th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 89 played minutes Meninos do Morro F.C got a freekick which was hit by Gilvan Ortiz. Maurício Mandrak took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ulisses Ferraz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
