Miguel Arantes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Maurício Mandrak having to interfere. 17 minutes into the match, C.A. Travinha's Nelson Domingues sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Maurício Mandrak narrowly saved just below the crossbar. C.A. Travinha's Mariano Eduino got a good chance for a goal in the 20th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 24th match minute, C.A. Travinha was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Décio de Queirós to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 25th minute, Délio Coutinho managed to get in a good position for a shot. Meninos do Morro F.C's supporters rose to their feet, but Délio Coutinho was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jens-Erik Larsson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A collision led to C.A. Travinha getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Giovanni Gaúcho hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 38th minute, Mariano Eduino managed to get in a good position for a shot. C.A. Travinha's supporters rose to their feet, but Mariano Eduino was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Maurício Mandrak breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Carlinhos Urbano stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. A collision led to C.A. Travinha getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Giovanni Vander hit a great ball. Maurício Mandrak was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Maicon Fernandez showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-2 in the 63 minute of play. Miguel Arantes could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 67th minute of the match, but Maurício Mandrak made a huge save. 67 minutes in the game, the ball went up into the seats when C.A. Travinha's Miguel Arantes fired away a shot that was just a little bit too high. He walked away shaking his head. If Mariano Eduino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Michel Antunes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 77th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Carlinhos Urbano in the 79th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jens-Erik Larsson saved C.A. Travinha from getting behind. Meninos do Morro F.C were awarded a corner in the 80th minute after C.A. Travinha's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Cafu Brito took the corner. Meninos do Morro F.C's Maurício Mandrak played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mariano Eduino in the 81st minute of play. In the 82ndth minute of the game Carlinhos Urbano who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but C.A. Travinha's Jens-Erik Larsson was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Miguel Arantes could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 85th minute of the match, but Maurício Mandrak made a huge save. Miguel Arantes might have been able to make a better finish in the 87th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Maurício Mandrak. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Miguel Arantes ran back to his position shaking his head. 88 minutes into the game, Nelson Domingues was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. C.A. Travinha's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Meninos do Morro F.C the free kick. Jens-Erik Larsson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Carlinhos Urbano in the 89th minute of the match. Délio Coutinho's late challenge caught a C.A. Travinha's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Délio Coutinho helped the player get up and apologised. After 90 played minutes Meninos do Morro F.C got a freekick which was hit by Délio Coutinho.
