Basílio Vaz hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. In the 17th match minute, Curucamba was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ernesto Sabóia to maneuver through the defense. If Cauan Antunes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Juarês Passos hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. Despite this Márcio Mazza quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Márcio Mazza took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cauan Antunes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Curucamba booed when Estrela Azul FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Basílio Vaz didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 40thth minute of the game Cauan Antunes who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Curucamba's Márcio Mazza was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Curucamba's zone, Evandro Cunha stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Márcio Mazza came out of the goal and Evandro Cunha tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Curucamba's Márcio Mazza played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cauan Antunes in the 46th minute of play. After 47 played minutes Curucamba got a freekick which was hit by Décio do Vale. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

But to his dismay, Guto Brandao quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. With a little luck, Curucamba's Márcio Mazza got control of the ball when Evandro Sá tried to sneak it across the goal line. Estrela Azul FC's Evandro Cunha quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Juarês Passos, made in the 71st minute of the game. Nicolas Loyola took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Deivid Freitas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Deivid Freitas hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. In the 79th minute of the match João Paulo Sousa sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Márcio Mazza skillfully saved the ball. Valério Lopez charged in rather forcefully in the 79th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Valério Lopez the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Estrela Azul FC's Jairo Vianna was substituted for Evandro Cunha.
