Percy Recife took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Guto Brandao, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 4 minutes into the match, Ricardo Leite had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Percy Recife. Tigres F.C's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ricardo Leite was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. In the 8th match minute, Tigres F.C was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marcelo Pitta to maneuver through the defense. The audience was convinced that Guto Brandao's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Percy Recife was relentless in the 11th minute of the game. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Guto Brandao in the 12th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Percy Recife saved Tigres F.C from getting behind. In the 14th minute, Deivid Freitas made a precise shot to the right of Percy Recife. Tigres F.C's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. Ricardo Leite fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Percy Recife having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marcelo Pitta in the 22nd minute of play forced Curucamba's goalkeeper Márcio Mazza to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 25th minute Marcelo Pitta shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Márcio Mazza saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 31 played minutes Guto Brandao rounded Tigres F.C's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 3-0. Marcelo Pitta recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 34th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Tigres F.C's Percy Recife proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 36th minute of the match, managed to save Tigres F.C from getting a goal against them. Curucamba's Márcio Mazza played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Erik Pombal in the 38th minute of play. When Curucamba's Guto Brandao in the 41st minute got a chance for a shot 41st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Tigres F.C's goalie prevented a goal. Curucamba's Deivid Freitas got a good chance for a goal in the 42nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A collision led to Tigres F.C getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Diogo Reis hit a great ball. Guto Brandao might have been able to make a better finish in the 46th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Percy Recife. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Guto Brandao ran back to his position shaking his head. 46 minutes into the match, Curucamba's Guto Brandao sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Percy Recife narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Guto Brandao was the one to do the kick off. A collision led to Curucamba getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Valério Lopez hit a great ball. After some careless play in the Tigres F.C defense, Guto Brandao kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Percy Recife. The Tigres F.C fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Percy Recife should have stopped the shot. Guto Brandao sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Márcio Mazza stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Erik Pombal's shot from short distance in the 69th minute. When Curucamba's Guto Brandao in the 71st minute got a chance for a shot 71st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Tigres F.C's goalie prevented a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Guto Brandao in the 72nd minute of play forced Tigres F.C's goalkeeper Percy Recife to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 75th minute, Deivid Freitas managed to get in a good position for a shot. Curucamba's supporters rose to their feet, but Deivid Freitas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Percy Recife breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 77 played minutes Tigres F.C got a freekick which was hit by Rogério Vinhas. 79 minutes into the match, Curucamba's goalkeeper Márcio Mazza had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Marcelo Pitta. 81 minutes into the match, Guto Brandao had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Percy Recife. The audience thought a goal was coming when Marcelo Pitta got free with Márcio Mazza in the 85th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 86th minute Tigres F.C were awarded a corner. Célio Costa went to the cornerflag to take it. A nice corner shot did that Célio Costa got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Márcio Mazza quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 91st match minute, Tigres F.C was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rogério Vinhas to maneuver through the defense. Juarês Passos hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. Márcio Mazza showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Erik Pombal in the 94th minute of the match. There was no doubt that Curucamba were the better team. Curucamba's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
