The tension between the Defensores de Savóia and the Estrela Azul FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Defensores de Savóia getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. José Carlos Fernandez hit a great ball. 14 minutes into the game, Gerson Azevedo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Defensores de Savóia's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Estrela Azul FC the free kick. In the 14th minute, Gerson Azevedo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The crowd rose to their feet as Ulisses Ferraz kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Nicolas Loyola. That made the score 1-1 in the 17 minute of play. Walmyr Ferreira could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 20th minute of the match, but Nicolas Loyola made a huge save. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Cauan Antunes in the 22nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Natã Cavalcante prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Walmyr Ferreira scored 2-1 in the 27th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Nicolas Loyola, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 30th minute, Walmyr Ferreira made a precise shot to the right of Nicolas Loyola. Estrela Azul FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-1. Gerson Azevedo hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. In the 35th minute, Severino Torres hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Cauan Antunes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 40th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Defensores de Savóia booed when Estrela Azul FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Evandro Cunha didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Estrela Azul FC getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Cauan Antunes hit a great ball. Arthur Pena fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nicolas Loyola having to interfere. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Cauan Antunes stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 57th match minute, Estrela Azul FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by João Paulo Sousa to maneuver through the defense. 58 minutes into the match, Defensores de Savóia's Tarcisio Botelho broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. 60 minutes into the game, Cauan Antunes lined in a short shot 3-2 behind a frustrated Natã Cavalcante. A hard shot 68 in the game by Cauan Antunes from a close distance when the talented Natã Cavalcante managed to make a qualified save. Defensores de Savóia's players were relieved. Nicolas Loyola came out of the goal in the 71st minute to try and stop a shot by Defensores de Savóia's Walmyr Ferreira. But to his dismay, Walmyr Ferreira quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-2. Defensores de Savóia's Ulisses Ferraz got a good chance for a goal in the 75th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Nicolas Loyola came out of the goal in the 78th minute to try and stop a shot by Defensores de Savóia's Ulisses Ferraz. But to his dismay, Ulisses Ferraz quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-2. Cauan Antunes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Natã Cavalcante having to interfere. Natanael Fontes's late challenge caught a Defensores de Savóia's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Natanael Fontes helped the player get up and apologised. In the 83rd match minute, Estrela Azul FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Natanael Fontes to maneuver through the defense. Arthur Pena fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nicolas Loyola having to interfere. Arthur Pena sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 90 minutes into the game, Defensores de Savóia's Walmyr Ferreira nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Nicolas Loyola made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 6-2. Natã Cavalcante showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cauan Antunes in the 95th minute of the match. 96 minutes into the match, Estrela Azul FC's goal looked a bit too open when Arthur Pena came free, but Nicolas Loyola reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Defensores de Savóia walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
