In the 33rd match minute, Meninos do Morro F.C was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cafu Brito to maneuver through the defense. Edson Ramalho's late challenge caught a Vasco Ji-Paraná FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Edson Ramalho helped the player get up and apologised. In the 37th minute, Edson Ramalho hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 38th minute of the match Artur Moreira sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Luiz Fernando Pimenta skillfully saved the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Meninos do Morro F.C's zone, Celsinho de Moraes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Luiz Fernando Pimenta came out of the goal and Celsinho de Moraes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Luiz Fernando Pimenta was a little too slow when Celsinho de Moraes got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 67th minute. The score was now 5-1. Wanderson Prestes scored 6-1 in the 72nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Juninho Prata, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Juninho Prata came out of the goal in the 75th minute to try and stop a shot by Meninos do Morro F.C's Wanderson Prestes. But to his dismay, Wanderson Prestes quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 7-1. In the 85th minute Duarte Gonçalves shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Juninho Prata saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 87th minute Allan Reis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luiz Fernando Pimenta saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 88 minutes, Celsinho de Moraes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Vasco Ji-Paraná FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Celsinho de Moraes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Luiz Fernando Pimenta was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 90th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Moisés Lucas. The crowd rose to their feet as Allan Reis kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Luiz Fernando Pimenta. That made the score 7-2 in the 91 minute of play. In the 95th minute the ball was on its way in behind Vasco Ji-Paraná FC's goalkeeper Juninho Prata, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Juninho Prata showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Duarte Gonçalves, who was totally free with the ball in the 97th minute. Meninos do Morro F.C's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
