Richard Massa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 13 minutes into the match, Jerônimo Sá had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Luís Paulo Toscano. 4X4's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jerônimo Sá was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Cícero Messias struck a weak shot in the 16th minute. Luís Paulo Toscano didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for S.E PALMEIRAS. Sílvio Luiz Leão sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Richard Massa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sílvio Luiz Leão, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. In the 24th match minute, 4X4 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Adrianinho Veloso to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in S.E PALMEIRAS's zone, Raí Vianna stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Richard Massa came out of the goal and Raí Vianna tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Dráusio Munhoz hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. Jerônimo Sá's late challenge caught a 4X4's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jerônimo Sá helped the player get up and apologised. Sílvio Luiz Leão's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Richard Massa read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 32nd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ediberto da Cunha in the 34th minute of play forced 4X4's goalkeeper Luís Paulo Toscano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sílvio Luiz Leão fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Richard Massa having to interfere. Sílvio Luiz Leão might have been able to make a better finish in the 38th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Richard Massa. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Sílvio Luiz Leão ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 40thth minute of the game Dráusio Munhoz who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but 4X4's Luís Paulo Toscano was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sílvio Luiz Leão in the 42nd minute of play forced S.E PALMEIRAS's goalkeeper Richard Massa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 43 minutes, Emerson Paraibano mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the 4X4 and the S.E PALMEIRAS players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, 4X4's Tales Cunha got a free kick in the 46th minute. The 4X4 players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. S.E PALMEIRAS were winning 0-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Dráusio Munhoz was the one to do the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in 4X4's zone, Dráusio Munhoz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Luís Paulo Toscano came out of the goal and Dráusio Munhoz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Hermínio Bueno hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in 4X4's zone, Ediberto da Cunha stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Luís Paulo Toscano came out of the goal and Ediberto da Cunha tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Dráusio Munhoz came up free with the goalie in the 59th minute, the S.E PALMEIRAS fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dráusio Munhoz couldn't finish the play. 62 minutes into the match, 4X4's goalkeeper Luís Paulo Toscano had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ediberto da Cunha. Dráusio Munhoz struck a weak shot in the 67th minute. Luís Paulo Toscano didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for S.E PALMEIRAS. S.E PALMEIRAS's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave 4X4 the free kick. After 84 played minutes S.E PALMEIRAS got a freekick which was hit by Cícero Messias. Luís Paulo Toscano came out of the goal in the 87th minute to try and stop a shot by S.E PALMEIRAS's Ediberto da Cunha. But to his dismay, Ediberto da Cunha quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. S.E PALMEIRAS's Ediberto da Cunha got a good chance for a goal in the 90th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Sílvio Luís Santana fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luís Paulo Toscano having to interfere. The 4X4 supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching S.E PALMEIRAS's performance. The match ended with a win for S.E PALMEIRAS.
