If Vânderson Cosme had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 3rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 6th minute of the match, Raimundo Mesquita tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Dieguinho Fernandes saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Vânderson Cosme could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 11th minute of the match, but Dieguinho Fernandes made a huge save. Vânderson Cosme's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 13thth minute, Dieguinho Fernandes skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Cipriano Ceresso hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. After having played for 17 minutes, José Pedro Nogueira managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Campestre AC's supporters crossed their fingers, but José Pedro Nogueira was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Vânderson Cosme came up free with the goalie in the 19th minute, the Campestre AC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Vânderson Cosme couldn't finish the play. The supporters of Campestre AC booed when Penúltimo do Ranhing was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Geovânio Braga didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Penúltimo do Ranhing getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Cipriano Ceresso hit a great ball. Leonardo Gomes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dieguinho Fernandes having to interfere. In the 28th minute, Leonardo Gomes reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Dieguinho Fernandes. The goal made the score 1-0. Campestre AC's Gerson Montenegro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Valério da Silveira in the 31st minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Penúltimo do Ranhing's zone, Leonardo Gomes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dieguinho Fernandes came out of the goal and Leonardo Gomes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Victor de Moraes kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. Bernardinho Nóbrega received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Gerson Montenegro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Vânderson Cosmes short, quick shot in the 40thth minute got Dieguinho Fernandes to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. 42 minutes into the game, Vânderson Cosme lined in a short shot 2-0 behind a frustrated Dieguinho Fernandes. Campestre AC's Gerson Montenegro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cipriano Ceresso in the 46th minute of play.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Valério da Silveira to make the kick off. After 51 minutes of play, Penúltimo do Ranhing's Bernardinho Nóbrega made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Gerson Montenegro was left in no man's land by his defense there! When the match had gone on for 66 minutes, Vânderson Cosme put it in 4-1 from a short distance just to the right of Dieguinho Fernandes. Vânderson Cosme struck a weak shot in the 71st minute. Dieguinho Fernandes didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Campestre AC. Gerson Montenegro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cipriano Ceresso in the 73rd minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Penúltimo do Ranhing's zone, Leonardo Gomes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dieguinho Fernandes came out of the goal and Leonardo Gomes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Gerson Montenegro made a fantastic save in the 80th minute, when Valério da Silveira sent off a good shot on target. Reinaldo Couto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Dieguinho Fernandes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 88th minute Vânderson Cosme shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dieguinho Fernandes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Geovânio Braga fell near the penalty area in the 94th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Penúltimo do Ranhing's protests and gave Geovânio Braga a yellow card for diving instead. Campestre AC's Vânderson Cosme got a good chance for a goal in the 95th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.
