If Hílton Moraes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in S.E PALMEIRAS's zone, Reinaldo Couto stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Richard Massa came out of the goal and Reinaldo Couto tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Jerônimo Sá fell near the penalty area in the 15th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored S.E PALMEIRAS's protests and gave Jerônimo Sá a yellow card for diving instead. After 15 played minutes S.E PALMEIRAS got a freekick which was hit by Jerônimo Sá. In the 17th minute, Jerônimo Sá got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Hílton Moraes hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. Gerson Montenegro made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ediberto da Cunha in the 25th minute. 26 minutes into the match, Vânderson Cosme had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Richard Massa. S.E PALMEIRAS's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Vânderson Cosme was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. When Olívio Aparecido fell near the penalty area in the 30th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored S.E PALMEIRAS's protests and gave Olívio Aparecido a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Campestre AC booed when S.E PALMEIRAS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Olívio Aparecido didn't get a good kick on the ball. Campestre AC's Mateus Nogueira couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 31st minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for S.E PALMEIRAS. Jerônimo Sá struck a weak shot in the 34th minute. Gerson Montenegro didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for S.E PALMEIRAS. Ediberto da Cunha received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Gerson Montenegro made a fantastic save in the 42nd minute, when Jerônimo Sá sent off a good shot on target. Gerson Montenegro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dráusio Munhoz in the 43rd minute of the match. Richard Massa didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Vânderson Cosme went, in the 44th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. Vânderson Cosme hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. After the first half Campestre AC were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Vânderson Cosme made a kick off. Gerson Montenegro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ediberto da Cunha in the 54th minute of the match. Vânderson Cosme's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 57thth minute, Richard Massa skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Vânderson Cosme struck a weak shot in the 71st minute. Richard Massa didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Campestre AC. With his leg Richard Massa managed to avoid a goal in the 75thth minute, when Campestre AC's Vânderson Cosme fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. A collision led to Campestre AC getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Vivaldo Brodel hit a great ball. After 81 played minutes Campestre AC got a freekick which was hit by Mateus Nogueira. In the 84th minute, Cícero Messias hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A hard shot 88 in the game by Vânderson Cosme from a close distance when the talented Richard Massa managed to make a qualified save. S.E PALMEIRAS's players were relieved. Dráusio Munhoz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jerônimo Sá kicked well hit freekick during the 94th minute of the match. Campestre AC's Victor de Moraes shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 96th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Richard Massa but with some difficulty. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Campestre AC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
