The Besouro SS fans' excitement grew in the 3rd match minute when Besouro SS's Jailson Paranaense looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Marquinhos de Medeiros's late challenge caught a Besouro SS's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Marquinhos de Medeiros helped the player get up and apologised. After having played for 10 minutes, Jailson Paranaense managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Besouro SS's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jailson Paranaense was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Besouro SS's Istivan Crainic proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 15th minute of the match, managed to save Besouro SS from getting a goal against them. The supporters of Calheiros booed when Besouro SS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ademar Pinho didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Antônio Carlos da Fonseca in the 34th minute of play forced Calheiros's goalkeeper Roberto Leme to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jailson Paranaense in the 35th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Roberto Leme saved Calheiros from getting behind. When Besouro SS's Jailson Paranaense in the 44th minute got a chance for a shot 44th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Calheiros's goalie prevented a goal. Besouro SS were awarded a corner in the 45th minute after Calheiros's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Gustavo Neto took the corner. After taking down the ball on Besouro SS's corner Gustavo Neto fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Roberto Leme quite easily take care of the ball. In the 47th minute, Jailson Paranaense made a precise shot to the right of Roberto Leme. Calheiros's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-5.

The wind increased when Zé Kobra made the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute, Zé Kobra ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Roberto Leme was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-6. The audience was convinced that Zé Kobra's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Roberto Leme was relentless in the 64th minute of the game. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jailson Paranaense in the 65th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Roberto Leme saved Calheiros from getting behind. Everyone was convinced a goal was close when Besouro SS's Jailson Paranaense in the 67th minute lifted the ball towards the upper right corner, but Roberto Leme was perfectly placed and prevented a goal for Calheiros through an amazing save. In the 68th minute, Jailson Paranaense got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 70 minutes into the game, Zé Kobra recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Roberto Leme. Zé Kobra showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-7. After a rather tough play, Besouro SS's Hélio Pena got a free kick in the 73rd minute. When Cléberson Magalhães came up free with the goalie in the 74th minute, the Calheiros fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cléberson Magalhães couldn't finish the play. In the 75th minute Iuri Mangueira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Istivan Crainic saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Roberto Leme didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Besouro SS's Zé Kobra shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 0-8 in the ordered_time% minute. Jailson Paranaense struck a weak shot in the 84th minute. Roberto Leme didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Besouro SS.
