Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) An unexpectedly hard shot by Caetano da Fonseca in the 3rd minute of play forced Passos FC's goalkeeper Germano Barros to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Caetano da Fonseca fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Germano Barros having to interfere. Caetano da Fonseca sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Atlético Peixoto's Ismael de Queiroz got a free kick in the 16th minute. In the 20th minute Josué Vianna shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Germano Barros saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Norberto Messias did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 1-0 to the left of a surprised Eurico Souto 29 minutes into the match. 34 minutes into the match, Atlético Peixoto's goalkeeper Eurico Souto had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Norberto Messias. In the 34th match minute, Atlético Peixoto was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ismael de Queiroz to maneuver through the defense. After some careless play in the Atlético Peixoto defense, Túlio Cearense kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Eurico Souto. The Atlético Peixoto fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Eurico Souto should have stopped the shot. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Norberto Messias during the 48th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Norberto Messias kicked well hit freekick during the 48th minute of the match. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Caetano da Fonseca to make the kick off. Josué Vianna recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 53rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Claudinho Faria might have been able to make a better finish in the 57th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Germano Barros. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Claudinho Faria ran back to his position shaking his head. Edson Moraes kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. Caetano da Fonseca received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Germano Barros tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Passos FC getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Raí Gaúcho hit a great ball. In the 66th play minute Caetano da Fonseca came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Germano Barros. 2-1. Caetano da Fonseca received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Germano Barros tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Passos FC's zone, Claudinho Faria stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Germano Barros came out of the goal and Claudinho Faria tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Germano Barros was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Caetano da Fonseca showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-2 in the 74 minute of play. Eurico Souto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Túlio Cearense, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a little luck, Passos FC's Germano Barros got control of the ball when Caetano da Fonseca tried to sneak it across the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 98th minute, Caetano da Fonseca managed to get in a good position for a shot. Atlético Peixoto's supporters rose to their feet, but Caetano da Fonseca was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Germano Barros breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Atlético Peixoto were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
