Spectators: 7476 (Terracing: 5608, Seating: 1719, VIP seats: 149) Guaraipos EC's Eusébio Aguiar started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Fábio de Salles recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 11th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Artur Trancoso kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. Josué Romero could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 19th minute of the match, but Oséias Nascimento made a huge save. Pimenta FC's Oséias Nascimento proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 22nd minute of the match, managed to save Pimenta FC from getting a goal against them. Luan Antunes's late challenge caught a Pimenta FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Luan Antunes helped the player get up and apologised. In the 23rd match minute, Guaraipos EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luan Antunes to maneuver through the defense. 29 minutes into the game, Pimenta FC's Fábio de Salles nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Elói Paraibano made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. 36 minutes into the match, Fábio de Salles notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Guaraipos EC's Elói Paraibano. Elói Paraibano was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After a defensive mix-up in Guaraipos EC's zone, Tomé Matos stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Elói Paraibano came out of the goal and Tomé Matos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After the first half Pimenta FC were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Tomé Matos to strike the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Pimenta FC's Abelardo Gerber got a free kick in the 64th minute. In the 67th match minute, Pimenta FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tomé Matos to maneuver through the defense. After 69 minutes of play, Pimenta FC's Fábio de Salles made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Elói Paraibano was left in no man's land by his defense there! An unexpectedly hard shot by Eusébio Aguiar in the 85th minute of play forced Pimenta FC's goalkeeper Oséias Nascimento to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Oséias Nascimento showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eusébio Aguiar, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. Dadá Marinho hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. Oséias Nascimento came out of the goal in the 93rd minute to try and stop a shot by Guaraipos EC's Eusébio Aguiar. But to his dismay, Eusébio Aguiar quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-4. Pimenta FC played a much better game than Guaraipos EC and deserved their victory. The Guaraipos EC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
