The supporters of Guaraipos EC booed when Sport Club Recife was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Maël Ringot didn't get a good kick on the ball. Elói Paraibano made a fantastic save in the 12th minute, when Ronaldo Kobra sent off a good shot on target. Maël Ringot took the ball and in the 18 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Elói Paraibano. Elói Paraibano dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. With a little luck, Guaraipos EC's Elói Paraibano got control of the ball when Ronaldo Kobra tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 22nd minute, Sport Club Recife's Felippe Moraes dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 4-0. After a rather tough play, Sport Club Recife's Tadeu Breckenfeld got a free kick in the 25th minute. After 37 minutes of play, Sport Club Recife's Ronaldo Kobra made it 5-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Elói Paraibano was left in no man's land by his defense there! When the match had gone on for 41 minutes, Maël Ringot took a quick shot and it went in 6-0 without a chance for Elói Paraibano to make any attempt to save it. The crowd rose to their feet as Maël Ringot kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Elói Paraibano. That made the score 7-0 in the 47 minute of play.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Maël Ringot to make the kick off. In the 53rd minute Maël Ringot shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Elói Paraibano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 7-1 became the score in the 58th minute when Eusébio Aguiar elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. After having played for 94 minutes, Joaquim Reis managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Guaraipos EC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Joaquim Reis was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Sport Club Recife had played much better football throughout.
