Elói Paraibano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gilson Mandrak in the 30th minute of the match. With an all-out effort, Guaraipos EC's Edinho Baptista threw himself towards the right post 34 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Eusébio Aguiar, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Guaraipos EC's Eusébio Aguiar got a good chance for a goal in the 40th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When the match had gone on for 41 minutes, Eusébio Aguiar took a quick shot and it went in 2-1 without a chance for Edinho Baptista to make any attempt to save it. Josué Romero sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Gilson Mandrak hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Gilson Mandrak kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Elói Paraibano. That made the score 2-4 in the 81 minute of play. The Guaraipos EC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Shadow FC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
