After some fancy dribbling in the 7th minute, Guto Neiva managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ibiuna FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Guto Neiva was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Falcão Zanette breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of Ibiuna FC booed when Dark Side FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luiz Gustavo Valladares didn't get a good kick on the ball. 12 minutes into the game, Diguinho Prado cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Falcão Zanette was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Ibiuna FC's Diguinho Prado got a good chance for a goal in the 16th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Diguinho Prado in the 20th minute of play forced Dark Side FC's goalkeeper Falcão Zanette to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ruy Saraiva succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-3 in the 40th playminute. Falcão Zanette didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Diguinho Prado went, in the 45th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-4 was the resulting score. Disappointed in the 1-4 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

53 minutes into the match, Dark Side FC's goal looked a bit too open when Gaizka Larquera came free, but Falcão Zanette reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dagoberto Prestes charged in rather forcefully in the 54th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Dagoberto Prestes the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Diguinho Prado in the 56th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Falcão Zanette saved Dark Side FC from getting behind. In the 57th minute Guto Neiva shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Falcão Zanette saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 61st minute, Guto Neiva reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Falcão Zanette. The goal made the score 1-5. Guto Neiva fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Falcão Zanette having to interfere. After having played for 73 minutes, Diguinho Prado managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ibiuna FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Diguinho Prado was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Falcão Zanette was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Diguinho Prado showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-6 in the 76 minute of play. Falcão Zanette made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gaizka Larquera in the 82nd minute. With a little luck, Dark Side FC's Falcão Zanette got control of the ball when Wilton Aguiar tried to sneak it across the goal line. Thanks to some nice moves Diguinho Prado could shoot a difficult shot in the 95th minute, which Falcão Zanette however easily saved by the left post. When the match was over Ibiuna FC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Dark Side FC throughout the match.
