Dorian Machado stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Hulk Paraíba's shot from short distance in the 10th minute. 11 minutes into the match, STEAUA BUCALESTI's goalkeeper Carlos Augusto de Andrade had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Osvaldo Soares. The crowd rose to their feet as Luiz Guilherme Sena kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Carlos Augusto de Andrade. That made the score 2-0 in the 12 minute of play. In the 17th minute, Hulk Paraíba got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Locomotiva grena's Dorian Machado played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Allan Quintal in the 22nd minute of play. If Osvaldo Soares had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dorian Machado made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Allan Quintal in the 27th minute of play. After 34 minutes of play, Locomotiva grena's Luiz Guilherme Sena made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Carlos Augusto de Andrade was left in no man's land by his defense there! After having played for 37 minutes, Osvaldo Soares managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Locomotiva grena's supporters crossed their fingers, but Osvaldo Soares was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Allan Quintal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dorian Machado having to interfere. STEAUA BUCALESTI's Wolf Speed got a good chance for a goal in the 42nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.

The wind increased when Hulk Paraíba made the kick off in the second half. In the 51st match minute, Locomotiva grena was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luiz Eduardo Vinhas to maneuver through the defense. Hulk Paraíba sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Jano Mattos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Carlos Augusto de Andrade showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jano Mattos, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. In the 59th minute, Jano Mattos left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Locomotiva grena fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-0. 63 minutes into the match, Osvaldo Soares had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Carlos Augusto de Andrade. STEAUA BUCALESTI's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Osvaldo Soares was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-0. Giacinto Facchetti kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. Luiz Eduardo Vinhas took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 67th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Carlos Augusto de Andrade. STEAUA BUCALESTI's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. 69 minutes into the game, Locomotiva grena's Jano Mattos nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Carlos Augusto de Andrade made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 6-0. With a little luck, Locomotiva grena's Dorian Machado got control of the ball when Allan Quintal tried to sneak it across the goal line. Allan Quintal who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 84thth minute tested the skills of Dorian Machado when he managed to save the team from getting behind. 89 minutes into the match, Perivaldo Paulista notched a goal, 7-0, to the right of STEAUA BUCALESTI's Carlos Augusto de Andrade. Carlos Augusto de Andrade was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Dorian Machado made a fantastic save in the 92nd minute, when Hulk Paraíba sent off a good shot on target. Jano Mattos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carlos Augusto de Andrade having to interfere. For all the effort they put into the match, the STEAUA BUCALESTI players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Locomotiva grena.
