After 11 played minutes STEAUA BUCALESTI got a freekick which was hit by Wolf Speed. 12 minutes into the game, Márcio Carneiro cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Carlos Augusto de Andrade was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When Elias Melo fell near the penalty area in the 14th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Capoeiral SC's protests and gave Elias Melo a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Capoeiral SC getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Elias Melo hit a great ball. Capoeiral SC's Aírton Garcia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hulk Paraíba in the 15th minute of play. Aírton Garcia took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wolf Speed, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 21st minute, Carlos de Senna hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some careless play in the Capoeiral SC defense, Hulk Paraíba kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Aírton Garcia. The Capoeiral SC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Aírton Garcia should have stopped the shot. Capoeiral SC's Aírton Garcia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hulk Paraíba in the 26th minute of play. The Capoeiral SC fans' excitement grew in the 27th match minute when Capoeiral SC's Márcio Carneiro looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. 32 minutes into the game, Márcio Carneiro lined in a short shot 3-1 behind a frustrated Carlos Augusto de Andrade. Aírton Garcia stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ahmet Ömür Vatansever's shot from short distance in the 36th minute. In the 51stth minute of the game Wolf Speed who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Capoeiral SC's Aírton Garcia was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 53rd minute Hulk Paraíba shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aírton Garcia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Carlos de Senna kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. Márcio Carneiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Márcio Carneiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Capoeiral SC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
