Spectators: 7692 (Terracing: 5770, Seating: 1769, VIP seats: 153) After 3 minutes, Geovanni Brito mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the STEAUA BUCALESTI and the OLIMPYACUS F. C. players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 5th match minute, STEAUA BUCALESTI was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Geovanni Brito to maneuver through the defense. With a little luck, STEAUA BUCALESTI's Carlos Augusto de Andrade got control of the ball when Alex Trancoso tried to sneak it across the goal line. Frank Sartori showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wolf Speed in the 9th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Allan Quintal in the 14th minute of play forced OLIMPYACUS F. C.'s goalkeeper Frank Sartori to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Carlos Augusto de Andrade came out of the goal in the 16th minute to try and stop a shot by OLIMPYACUS F. C.'s Alex Trancoso. But to his dismay, Alex Trancoso quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. After 21 played minutes OLIMPYACUS F. C. got a freekick which was hit by Genílson Catarinense. Frank Sartori made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Allan Quintal in the 25th minute of play. After a rather tough play, OLIMPYACUS F. C.'s Genílson Catarinense got a free kick in the 26th minute. When Allan Quintal came up free with the goalie in the 27th minute, the STEAUA BUCALESTI fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Allan Quintal couldn't finish the play. Carlos Augusto de Andrade didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Stéphane Kubeck went, in the 29th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. Carlos Augusto de Andrade didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Alex Trancoso went, in the 32nd minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. A collision led to OLIMPYACUS F. C. getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Alex Trancoso hit a great ball. OLIMPYACUS F. C.'s Frank Sartori played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Allan Quintal in the 37th minute of play. In the 39th minute, Allan Quintal got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Frank Sartori showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Allan Quintal, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Hulk Paraíba made a kick off. Frank Sartori made a fantastic save in the 52nd minute, when Maurício Amorim sent off a good shot on target. A collision led to OLIMPYACUS F. C. getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Albin Björklund hit a great ball. Hulk Paraíba sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Stéphane Kubeck had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Yerry Mina recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 63rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 64 minutes into the match, OLIMPYACUS F. C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Wolf Speed came free, but Frank Sartori reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 71st minute, Maurício Amorim got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Frank Sartori made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hulk Paraíba in the 72nd minute of play. In the 76th match minute, OLIMPYACUS F. C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Stéphane Kubeck to maneuver through the defense. 81 minutes into the match, OLIMPYACUS F. C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Hulk Paraíba came free, but Frank Sartori reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 83rd minute STEAUA BUCALESTI were awarded a corner. Geovanni Brito went to the cornerflag to take it. STEAUA BUCALESTI's Geovanni Brito was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Frank Sartori in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Hulk Paraíba received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Frank Sartori tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. OLIMPYACUS F. C.'s Frank Sartori proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 89th minute of the match, managed to save OLIMPYACUS F. C. from getting a goal against them. Maurício Amorim kicked well hit freekick during the 92nd minute of the match. Carlos Augusto de Andrade showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Stéphane Kubeck, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. In the 96th minute of the match, Allan Quintal got a very nice opportunity to score, but Frank Sartori was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. OLIMPYACUS F. C. were victorious despite being under pressure from STEAUA BUCALESTI for much of the match.
