In the 12th minute Guga França shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luiz Eduardo Negri saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Guga França in the 14th minute of play forced Facção Capixaba's goalkeeper Luiz Eduardo Negri to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 57th minute, Hulk Orange managed to get in a good position for a shot. Águia Tricolor's supporters rose to their feet, but Hulk Orange was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Luiz Eduardo Negri breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After having played for 63 minutes, Hulk Orange managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Águia Tricolor's supporters crossed their fingers, but Hulk Orange was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 68thth minute of the game Rubinho Soares who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Águia Tricolor's Murat Selim Zaik was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The supporters of Águia Tricolor booed when Facção Capixaba was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vito Furlan didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Facção Capixaba getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. Vito Furlan hit a great ball. Murat Selim Zaik stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Rubinho Soares's shot from short distance in the 75th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Águia Tricolor's Gugu Vinhas slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Luiz Eduardo Negri. That made the score 0-6 after 81 minutes of play. Águia Tricolor's Gabriel Batistuta was substituted for Guga França. 93 minutes into the game, Gugu Vinhas cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-8. Luiz Eduardo Negri was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Águia Tricolor's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
