Morro Grande E.C's Willian Loyola proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 13th minute of the match, managed to save Morro Grande E.C from getting a goal against them. In the 15th minute, Sidney Pimenta got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Diogo Pinho hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. Sidney Pimenta in the 22ndth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Willian Loyola, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Cristian Duarte's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Henry Van Herendael read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 24th minute of play. In the 36th minute the ball was on its way in behind Morro Grande E.C's goalkeeper Willian Loyola, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Willian Loyola was a little too slow when Sidney Pimenta got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 39th minute. The score was now 3-0. 48 minutes into the game, BRC WeeD Dogs's Sidney Pimenta nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Willian Loyola made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-0. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 4-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Bebeto Jacinto to strike the kick off in the second half. Sidney Pimenta struck a weak shot in the 53rd minute. Willian Loyola didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for BRC WeeD Dogs. Diogo Pinho hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. With a little luck, BRC WeeD Dogs's Henry Van Herendael got control of the ball when Cristian Duarte tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 73rd minute Bebeto Jacinto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Willian Loyola saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 75 minutes, Sidney Pimenta managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. BRC WeeD Dogs's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sidney Pimenta was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, Morro Grande E.C's Raúl Maia got a free kick in the 81st minute. Willian Loyola showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sidney Pimenta in the 83rd minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 84th minute, Cristian Duarte managed to get in a good position for a shot. Morro Grande E.C's supporters rose to their feet, but Cristian Duarte was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Henry Van Herendael breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
