Spectators: 6923 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1770, VIP seats: 153) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Raúl Neiva kicked off to start the match. Guga França took the ball and in the 3 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Anselmo Botelho. Anselmo Botelho dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Anselmo Botelho came out of the goal in the 5th minute to try and stop a shot by Águia Tricolor's Gugu Vinhas. But to his dismay, Gugu Vinhas quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. In the 8th minute, Márcio Costa got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Anselmo Botelho made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Guga França in the 10th minute of play. After 10 minutes, Adelino Lago mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the CARDINEL and the Águia Tricolor players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 11th match minute, CARDINEL was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Adelino Lago to maneuver through the defense. Anselmo Botelho came out of the goal in the 11th minute to try and stop a shot by Águia Tricolor's Guga França. But to his dismay, Guga França quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. 14 minutes into the match, CARDINEL's goal looked a bit too open when Márcio Costa came free, but Anselmo Botelho reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 15th minute, Guga França made a precise shot to the right of Anselmo Botelho. CARDINEL's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-4. Gugu Vinhas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. CARDINEL's Anselmo Botelho played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Guga França in the 21st minute of play. Anselmo Botelho came out of the goal in the 23rd minute to try and stop a shot by Águia Tricolor's Gugu Vinhas. But to his dismay, Gugu Vinhas quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-5. In the 26th minute, Aílton Damião made a precise shot to the right of Anselmo Botelho. CARDINEL's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-6. When the match clock showed 29 minutes, the score became 0-7 when Aílton Damião sped through CARDINEL's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Anselmo Botelho. After 32 played minutes Águia Tricolor got a freekick which was hit by Raphael Araújo. In the 34thth minute of the game Gugu Vinhas who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but CARDINEL's Anselmo Botelho was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 39 minutes of play, Águia Tricolor's Aílton Damião made it 0-9 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Anselmo Botelho was left in no man's land by his defense there! Aílton Damião took the ball and in the 48 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Anselmo Botelho. Anselmo Botelho dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-10. After the first half Águia Tricolor were leading 0-10. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Guga França stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The crowd rose to their feet as Hulk Orange kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Anselmo Botelho. That made the score 0-11 in the 54 minute of play. Murat Selim Zaik took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Raúl Neiva, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The crowd rose to their feet as Aílton Damião kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Anselmo Botelho. That made the score 0-12 in the 58 minute of play. In the 63rd minute, Gugu Vinhas reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Anselmo Botelho. The goal made the score 0-13. The crowd rose to their feet as Águia Tricolor's Gugu Vinhas slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Anselmo Botelho. That made the score 0-14 after 67 minutes of play. Aílton Damião recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 70th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When the match had gone on for 72 minutes, Aílton Damião put it in 0-15 from a short distance just to the right of Anselmo Botelho. In the 75th minute, Águia Tricolor's Gugu Vinhas dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-16. Gugu Vinhas received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Anselmo Botelho came out and tried to block the shot, but Gugu Vinhas slotted it home off the left post making it 0-17 in the 81st minute. After a rather tough play, CARDINEL's Carlos Maia got a free kick in the 83rd minute. Águia Tricolor made a substitution. Otto Bähr replaced Raphael Araújo. In the 85th match minute, CARDINEL was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Carlos Maia to maneuver through the defense. After 96 played minutes CARDINEL got a freekick which was hit by Carlos Maia. The long shot by Hulk Orange in the 97th minute really tested Anselmo Botelho's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Águia Tricolor played a much better game than CARDINEL and deserved their victory. The CARDINEL players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
