When the match had gone on for 14 minutes, Artur Alves put it in 0-2 from a short distance just to the right of Luiz Fábio Vieira. Leon Norino fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luiz Fábio Vieira having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Nova Juve FC's Daniel Sena got a free kick in the 20th minute. Artur Alves sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 23 minutes into the game, Marco van Basten cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3.
