The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After a rather tough play, SANTASTICO's Zeca Favoretto got a free kick in the 8th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mathias Dantas in the 11th minute of play forced SANTASTICO's goalkeeper Tiaguinho Penha to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 12 minutes into the match, Mathias Dantas had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Tiaguinho Penha. SANTASTICO's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Mathias Dantas was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Pedro Rudolfo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vânderson Fernandes in the 15th minute of play. After a rather tough play, S.C. Tigres Paulista's Vitório Barral got a free kick in the 19th minute. Tiaguinho Penha stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Mathias Dantas's shot from short distance in the 29th minute. 30 minutes into the match, S.C. Tigres Paulista's goal looked a bit too open when Orlando França came free, but Pedro Rudolfo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Vitório Barral kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. A well-hit corner resulted in Guto Campidelis heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. With 39 minutes on the clock, Frédson Antunes commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. The supporters of S.C. Tigres Paulista booed when SANTASTICO was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Frédson Antunes didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tiaguinho Penha made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mathias Dantas in the 41st minute of play. After 45 played minutes SANTASTICO got a freekick which was hit by Lauro da Silva. The SANTASTICO players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. S.C. Tigres Paulista were winning 0-3.

If Vânderson Fernandes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 92 minutes into the game, one of S.C. Tigres Paulista:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Lauro da Silva recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 97th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Lauro da Silva came up free with the goalie in the 99th minute, the SANTASTICO fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lauro da Silva couldn't finish the play. The SANTASTICO supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching S.C. Tigres Paulista's performance. The match ended with a win for S.C. Tigres Paulista.
