When Aleandro Cambuquira came up free with the goalie in the 9th minute, the Cambuquira FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Aleandro Cambuquira couldn't finish the play. The referee felt a red card was in order, 15 minutes into the game, when Afonso Soares put in a rough tackle. The supporters of Barra Funda F.C booed when Cambuquira FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Buch Cambuquira didn't get a good kick on the ball. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Wesley Tróia was the one to do the kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 63rd minute, Norberto Goiano managed to get in a good position for a shot. Barra Funda F.C's Gugu Gaúcho proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 75th minute of the match, managed to save Barra Funda F.C from getting a goal against them. The audience thought a goal was coming when Aleandro Cambuquira got free with Gugu Gaúcho in the 77th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 78 minutes into the game, Nelson Rosado was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Barra Funda F.C's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Cambuquira FC the free kick. Gugu Gaúcho came out of the goal and Olívio Duarte tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the match was over Cambuquira FC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Barra Funda F.C throughout the match.
