If Mathias Dantas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mathias Dantas had several of the Barra Funda F.C's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 7 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-0 score and a disappointed Gugu Gaúcho as he didn't even see the shot coming. If Amauri Messias had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When the match had gone on for 12 minutes, Isaltino Novaes took a quick shot and it went in 2-0 without a chance for Gugu Gaúcho to make any attempt to save it. Jonatan Iigo kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Barra Funda F.C's Afonso Soares got a free kick in the 17th minute. S.C. Tigres Paulista's Pedro Rudolfo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Norberto Goiano in the 24th minute of play. 25 minutes had been played when some careless play by S.C. Tigres Paulista's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Hortêncio Freire was slow to take the kick. During this time Barra Funda F.C's players had a chance to rest. The corner ended in Hortêncio Freire almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but S.C. Tigres Paulista's Pedro Rudolfo did a great save. Mathias Dantas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 27th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Amílton Gomes kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. With his leg Gugu Gaúcho managed to avoid a goal in the 33rdth minute, when S.C. Tigres Paulista's Mathias Dantas fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 34th minute Mathias Dantas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gugu Gaúcho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A nice corner shot did that Jonatan Iigo got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Gugu Gaúcho quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. A collision led to Barra Funda F.C getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Amílton Gomes hit a great ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Mathias Dantas in the 40th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gugu Gaúcho prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Mathias Dantas who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 41stth minute tested the skills of Gugu Gaúcho when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Gugu Gaúcho made an important save on a dangerous shot by Mathias Dantas in the 46th minute. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

56 minutes into the match, Barra Funda F.C's goal looked a bit too open when Mathias Dantas came free, but Gugu Gaúcho reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gugu Gaúcho showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mathias Dantas in the 58th minute of the match. When S.C. Tigres Paulista's Mathias Dantas in the 63rd minute got a chance for a shot 63rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Barra Funda F.C's goalie prevented a goal. After a defensive mix-up in Barra Funda F.C's zone, Mathias Dantas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gugu Gaúcho came out of the goal and Mathias Dantas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Giuseppe Negri kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Mathias Dantas in the 72nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gugu Gaúcho prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Mathias Dantas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 73rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 78th minute, Luís Paulo Barros left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The S.C. Tigres Paulista fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-0. Gugu Gaúcho took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mathias Dantas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Luís Paulo Barros fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gugu Gaúcho having to interfere.
