After a rather tough play, Clube Atletico Guarulhos's Endrik Sousa got a free kick in the 2nd minute. SANTASTICO's Zeca Favoretto got a good chance for a goal in the 4th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Arlindo Martins took the ball and in the 8 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Tiaguinho Penha. Tiaguinho Penha dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. A collision led to SANTASTICO getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Doriva Albuquerque hit a great ball. Tiaguinho Penha made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arlindo Martins in the 11th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by João Paulo Fonseca in the 19th minute of play forced SANTASTICO's goalkeeper Tiaguinho Penha to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Lauro da Silva had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gildo Chaves sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Tiaguinho Penha showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arlindo Martins in the 32nd minute of the match. Tiaguinho Penha didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Kajetan Jestrimski went, in the 33rd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. Tiaguinho Penha took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kajetan Jestrimski, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Kajetan Jestrimski made in the 39th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by SANTASTICO's Frédson Antunes. Tiaguinho Penha came out of the goal in the 40th minute to try and stop a shot by Clube Atletico Guarulhos's Arlindo Martins. But to his dismay, Arlindo Martins quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. With his leg Humberto Lastur managed to avoid a goal in the 45thth minute, when SANTASTICO's Vânderson Fernandes fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 46th minute Arlindo Martins shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tiaguinho Penha saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. SANTASTICO's Tiaguinho Penha played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arlindo Martins in the 48th minute of play. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Orlando França was the one to do the kick off. In the 52nd minute, Clube Atletico Guarulhos's Kajetan Jestrimski dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-4. Gildo Chaves scored 0-5 in the 56th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Tiaguinho Penha, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 85th minute, Glauco Pinho hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Kajetan Jestrimski fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tiaguinho Penha having to interfere. With a little luck, SANTASTICO's Tiaguinho Penha got control of the ball when Endrik Sousa tried to sneak it across the goal line. 96 minutes into the match, Clube Atletico Guarulhos's goal looked a bit too open when Orlando França came free, but Humberto Lastur reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
