Spectators: 7390 (Terracing: 5500, Seating: 1770, VIP seats: 120) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Valdir Garcia kicked off to start the match. After a rather tough play, Catone's Zé Augusto Tasso got a free kick in the 8th minute. Billy Dowdall hit a great freekick 9 minutes into the match. In the 14th minute, Sydney Rosa got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Almir de Mendonça came out of the goal in the 21st minute to try and stop a shot by Bandelocos's Daniel Brasil. But to his dismay, Daniel Brasil quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Valdir Garcia in the 23rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Almir de Mendonça saved Catone from getting behind. The Bandelocos fans' excitement grew in the 23rd match minute when Bandelocos's Valdir Garcia looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Daniel Brasil in the 35th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Almir de Mendonça saved Catone from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Brasil in the 36th minute of play forced Catone's goalkeeper Almir de Mendonça to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Almir de Mendonça stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Valdir Garcia's shot from short distance in the 39th minute. 44 minutes had been played when some careless play by Bandelocos's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Augusto Bezerra was slow to take the kick. During this time Catone's players had a chance to rest. The corner led to Catone's Zé Augusto Tasso getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. In the 46thth minute of the game Valdir Garcia who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Catone's Almir de Mendonça was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Edmílson Neves had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Sydney Rosa made a kick off. In the 54th minute, Sydney Rosa made a precise shot to the right of Nilson do Vale. Bandelocos's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. Catone's Almir de Mendonça proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 58th minute of the match, managed to save Catone from getting a goal against them. Nilson do Vale showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sydney Rosa in the 60th minute of the match. Daniel Brasil struck a weak shot in the 64th minute. Almir de Mendonça didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Bandelocos. After 69 played minutes Bandelocos got a freekick which was hit by Luís Gustavo Urbano. Augusto Bezerra's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Nilson do Vale read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 69th minute of play. In the 73rd minute, Alfredão França hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Catone's Eliézer Urbano was substituted for Sydney Rosa. After a rather tough play, Catone's Alfredão França got a free kick in the 74th minute. Bandelocos's Nilson do Vale played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eliézer Urbano in the 76th minute of play. After 91 played minutes Bandelocos got a freekick which was hit by Daniel Brasil. Nilson do Vale made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eliézer Urbano in the 94th minute of play. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Bandelocos had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
