Spectators: 7696 (Terracing: 5773, Seating: 1770, VIP seats: 153) SC Turuna's Denílson Sabóia started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Erik Ceresso sent away a hard shot on goal in the 3rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 5th minute Faustão Prado shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ian Berger saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Juninho Cruz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Denílson Sabóia in the 6th minute of the match. Leonardo Negri fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Juninho Cruz having to interfere. In the last second Juninho Cruz throw himself and got hold of the ball when Denílson Sabóia in the 9thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. 13 minutes into the game, Hernani Alcântara recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Juninho Cruz. Hernani Alcântara showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. Juninho Cruz was out of position in the 17 minute of play, and Erik Ceresso capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Erik Ceresso really showed his touch with that goal: 2-0. In the 21st minute of the match, Erik Ceresso tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Juninho Cruz saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Erik Ceresso took the ball and in the 21 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Juninho Cruz. Juninho Cruz dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. In the 26th minute, Valdemar Velasco ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Juninho Cruz was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-0. Cresciuma EC's Juninho Cruz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Denílson Sabóia in the 30th minute of play. Valdemar Velasco scored 7-0 in the 41st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Juninho Cruz, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Juninho Cruz stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Denílson Sabóia's shot from short distance in the 44th minute. Denílson Sabóia kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match.

If Hernani Alcântara had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 56 minutes into the match, Cresciuma EC's goal looked a bit too open when Denílson Sabóia came free, but Juninho Cruz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 58thth minute of the game Denílson Sabóia who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Cresciuma EC's Juninho Cruz was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Juninho Cruz didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Erik Ceresso went, in the 59th minute, to the upper right corner, 8-0 was the resulting score. After 62 minutes, Leonardo Negri mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the SC Turuna and the Cresciuma EC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Leonardo Negri kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. 70 minutes into the match, SC Turuna's goalkeeper Ian Berger had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Faustão Prado. David Marquez struck a weak shot in the 73rd minute. Ian Berger didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cresciuma EC. The supporters of SC Turuna booed when Cresciuma EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Wilton Nogueira didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Denílson Sabóia in the 78th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Juninho Cruz prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 82 minutes, Denílson Sabóia made it 9-0 with a short kick to the right side. Cresciuma EC's Juninho Cruz tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Denílson Sabóia in the 86th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Juninho Cruz saved Cresciuma EC from getting behind.
