The referee ignored Bandelocos's protests and gave Billy Dowdall a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Bandelocos getting a freekick after 6 minutes play. Billy Dowdall hit a great ball. Andrézinho Correia recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 7th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 11th minute, Bandelocos's Daniel Brasil dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. Ezequiel Velasco's late challenge caught a Biruleibe FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ezequiel Velasco helped the player get up and apologised. After 13 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Bandelocos! 22 minutes into the game, Bandelocos's Billy Dowdall nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Raimundo Sena made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. In the 24th match minute, Bandelocos was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Valdir Garcia to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Billy Dowdall in the 26th minute of play forced Biruleibe FC's goalkeeper Raimundo Sena to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Raimundo Sena was a little too slow when Daniel Brasil got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 30th minute. The score was now 3-1. Claudinei Nascimento sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Valdir Garcia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 35th minute, Valdir Garcia managed to get in a good position for a shot. Bandelocos's supporters rose to their feet, but Valdir Garcia was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Raimundo Sena breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Valdir Garcia who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 39thth minute tested the skills of Raimundo Sena when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After 40 played minutes Biruleibe FC got a freekick which was hit by Edgar de Castro. After 41st play minutes Valdir Garcia shot 4-1, a short shot which went by Raimundo Sena and just under the crossbar into goal. After 45 minutes of play, Biruleibe FC's Andrézinho Correia made it 4-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Nilson do Vale was left in no man's land by his defense there! After some fancy dribbling in the 48th minute, Andrézinho Correia managed to get in a good position for a shot. Biruleibe FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Andrézinho Correia was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nilson do Vale breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Raimundo Sena stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Valdir Garcia's shot from short distance in the 55th minute. Luiz Guilherme Varela blasted a shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Raimundo Sena having to make a save. In the 58th minute Billy Dowdall shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Raimundo Sena saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 70th minute, Luiz Guilherme Varela ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Raimundo Sena was frozen by the shot and now it was 8-2. Raimundo Sena took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luiz Guilherme Varela, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Maurinho Vargas in the 82nd minute of play forced Biruleibe FC's goalkeeper Raimundo Sena to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bandelocos's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
